Streamer Monday

Ahh Monday... Everyone's favorite day of the week right? Yeah, not mine. Today not to shabby though. Got some vise time. Tied a couple spey flies then during some browsing of my usual fly tying sites I found some streamer patterns for trout. That time of year is coming up fast so might as well prepare!

As I mentioned in previous posts one blog/site I follow is Franken Fly. With daily features its a great site to add to the "check often" list and you can often come away with a fly to tie. I did this tonight and found a fly that was posted today. Paul (Franken Fly) developed this pattern off of a lure his grandfather used. Read more about it here: http://www.frankenfly.com/bernards-green-bomber/ .

Here are my "versions". A little bit of improvising, but they will catch!

In another one of my routine reads Nick Granato (Fly Obsession http://flyobsession.com/) posted a picture of a fly he had featured on Hatches a while back called the Chubby Muffin. So what the heck, I tied one up. I think this thing will slay em! http://hatchesmagazine.com/blogs/Hatches/2010/01/15/the-chubby-muffin-by-nick-granato/

Thats all for now! Until next time..
